Sunni Brown giving a talk on the exemplary benefits of doodling. As a kid who doodled a lot while in school, I know it definitely helped me stay focused— or at the very least, awake. I got in trouble here and there from some teachers, but I’ll never forget in 5th grade when Mrs. Buckowski gave a good-hearted laugh at my drawing of a pig when we were talking about Nathaniel Bacon.
